2012-2013 Test Info and Dates of Testing
Spring Testing Schedules for Grades 3-12
I will be posting testing information at this site. We will stick as close to the schedule as possible, but remember these dates are tentative. Sometimes events beyond our control happen. It is very important that your student is attendance during testing. If possible, try not to schedule appointments during testing dates. Sometimes this is not possible, so if your student is going to be absent on a test date, please notify the office, so that we will be aware of the absence and can schedule a make-up session. All students must test during the testing window. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
It is also important for your student to do his/her best on these tests. Please encourage your student to work hard on the test. Two things that will help your student do well are: plenty of rest and good nutrition during the testing window. Students who are well-rested and have eaten a good breakfast will have better concentration. Thanks for your help in these areas.
These are several types of testing invovled:
OCCT (Oklahoma Core Curriculum Tests): 3rd-8th Grades
3rd, 4th and 6th Grades--Math and Reading
7th Grade--Math, Reading and Geography
5th and 8th Grades--Math, Reading, Science, History, and Writing
EOI (End of Instruction Tests): 9th - 12th Grades
Students take tests over the following subjects they are currently enrolled.
Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, English II, English III, Biology, and U.S. History
English II and English III also include writing tests
Students must pass the Algebra I and English II tests and 2 of the remaining 5 tests (4 of 7) in order to graduate. Students who do not pass these tests must retake these tests until they pass them, so it is very important that students work hard and do their best on these tests.
